Season’s Greetings 2025
Dear NTU CCA Singapore Community
2025 was a year of transitions for most of us. As the year draws to a close, we wish you a gentle pause with your loved ones. Let’s take this chance to let the past year subside before we welcome a new orbit.
For this year’s Season’s Greeting, our former artist for the Communities of Practice residency programme in 2025, Ong Kian Peng, offered this video. Accidental Utopia (2024) emerges from a first-person vantage that drifts between submergence and the surface. In this oscillation, the work stages a speculative geography shaped by rising seas, ecological precarity, and infrastructural dreams. This in-between mirrors our present moment: crossroads of divergent futures, hopeful and catastrophic, engineered and accidental, for the human and non-human. By inhabiting this liminal zone,Accidental Utopia imagines what more can still be done. This media work was presented at Art Electronica in 2024.
Let this video be a moment of respite as we acknowledge the year past. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to your support for our Centre, its exhibitions, and programmes. We look forward to welcoming you to our upcoming exhibition at Gillman Barracks during the Singapore Art Week 2026: Kent Chan, Three Acts of the Sun.
